SO, few weeks before CNY, mummy made me clean up my room, bought new furnitures to welcome CNY, as well as gave us 1-2 garbage bags to throw away our unwanted stuff. But I mostly found things that I once lost and was happily playing with it till mummy started nagging. Not only that, she made me RE-IRONED ALL of my clothes!!!! (#lastwarning #cmi #poorme #sadlife92 #ggfied ) This is probably the only time I feel that I have a lot of clothes. It took me 3 days to sort out the clothes I want to throw, to keep to arrange to iron :x
Another time was when daddy had to hire 4 part-time aunties to come over our place to do spring cleaning for the next 2 days. Was totally stunned to see my daddy at home early in the morning, as well as the vacuum noise that woke me up. Mummy had no time to clean the house as well as dad wanted a total change of outlook(?) of the house.
Me? I get to design my room whatever pattern I want :P So I started working on what I want my future room to be like. Tumblr and Pinterest are so inspirational, sometimes I wish my room was as pretty as theirs. And I often go off-track looking at 21st birthday ideas ( I got a few ideas alr!!! *excited much*) And thanks to the sale that TYPO has, I bought a couple of fairylights at $36 for two? Quite okay, considering the original price was much more exp.
From my once bare room to an awesome duper cosy room :)
I am so in love in my room right now!!! :D I purposely requested my mum for PINK bedsheets because it's my fave colour! This is only half done! on 15th feb, I'm going to head down and develop photos to paste on my wall! And that's my computer desk on my left and my study table on my right so that I don't get distracted by twitter and other social media as well as resisting the urge to watch videos!!! I got so many to watch, but I need to study and concentrate! *discipline!!!* I also did a bit of decorating for my study table :)
TADAHH!!! New photo lines! As well as pasted some postcards that I bought from sparking stars! The country that I wish to go one day, after saving enough money :) I also need to paste more photos there, as well as a mini corkboard to pin down my post-it.This is one of the many perks of having my own room. I want my room to be as cosy and HELEN-Y as possible. I believe that after a day of work/study/activities, the only place that I would want to be is in a room that defines me, that makes me feel so much more comfortable and at ease.
Of course, SHOPPING and GROOMING yourself IS A MUST. I headed over to NTU to do my nails. There is an advertisement that I saw on instagram whereby the person paint your nails for you and the money that was given to them would be donated to some children association. Since it is for a good deed and I can pamper my nails a bit, why not right? Even though I can do it myself at home..... but, a little pampering is a must. Now I know why people normally go to to nails parlour to do their nails =.=''' But it's normally exp and I can do it myself at home :x
From plain normal looking nails to~~~~
This!!!! Super awesome right! :D The person painted the base coat and did my french, and added a few roses. I added the lace and rhinestones as well as more roses on my nails as it would cost abit more, and honestly, I can save that bit of money and get it done at home :x
As well as one day which I don't have school, I went orchard to shop for clothes!!! :D NEW CLOTHES!!! Another fantastic idea to go shopping and spend without feeling guilty!!! :D Was at H&M , F21, FEP, Orchard Central, walked about 5.2k steps in orchard (go dl "Moves" on iphone, it records the amt of steps you take per day! lose some weight yo!) And I bought new black shoes with Gold straps! :D SO SUPER DUPER IN LOVE WITH IT RIGHT NOW! :D And it only cost 23.3! :D It was so worth it!!! I thought it was around $35. (usual price for wedges), but CNY sale! ;) as well as 10% off for members, I got it at a good rate! :D shiok feeling!
Never had so much fun before preparing for CNY! :) Hope I can do it every new year, but im not so rich though :x
